So why Graphic Design? What’s the point? Why do we need graphic design? Surely if everything was written in Arial Bold it would be fine -a monochrome world where “that will do” is enough. Whats the point in it looking “good” or it being “beautiful”, surely “fine” will do?
Not exactly. Every single advert, website, flyer, book, newspaper and sign you see every single day has been through the mind, and fingertips of a graphic designer. Whether the design is good or bad, there has been an element of thought behind how it should be presented, read and interacted with.
“That will do” is not good enough.
